Tahiti & the Society Islands

A 10-Day Charter Itinerary

A charter through Tahiti’s Society Islands unfolds across volcanic peaks, coral-ringed lagoons and remote motu, with each island offering a distinct pace and character. This itinerary follows the natural route from Tahiti and Moorea through Huahine, Raiatea and Taha’a, before culminating in Bora Bora.

Day 1 — Tahiti | Arrival in Papeete
Arrive in Tahiti and step directly into island life. After a seamless transfer from Faa’a International Airport, settle on board and cruise into the evening with a first dinner under the stars. The dramatic silhouettes of Tahiti’s peaks provide an unforgettable introduction to French Polynesia.

Day 2 — Moorea | Mountains, Lagoons & Barefoot Beaches
Wake to the lush outline of Moorea, where steep green peaks meet a calm, protected lagoon. Spend the day swimming, paddleboarding and snorkelling from secluded anchorages, before enjoying sundowners as the light softens over the island.

Day 3 — Huahine | The Garden Island
Cruise toward Huahine, one of the Society Islands’ most peaceful and authentic destinations. Rich in lush vegetation, quiet bays and Polynesian heritage, it is a natural setting for a slow afternoon ashore, a beach picnic, or an evening surrounded by complete tranquillity.

Day 4 — Huahine | Lagoon Life
Enjoy a full day at anchor in Huahine. Explore the lagoon by tender, snorkel in clear shallows, or simply relax on board with the island as your backdrop. For guests seeking culture as well as relaxation, Huahine offers a more intimate side of the Society Islands.

Day 5 — Raiatea | Sacred Waters
Arrive in Raiatea, regarded as one of French Polynesia’s most important cultural islands. Its protected waters and verdant shoreline make it an ideal place for watersports, while time ashore can be tailored around local heritage, scenic drives or a private Polynesian experience.

Day 6 — Taha’a | Vanilla Island
Cross the lagoon to Taha’a, Raiatea’s smaller and more secluded neighbour. Known for its vanilla plantations, pearl farms and motu, this is a day designed around slow exploration: a lagoon cruise, a beach lunch and some of the region’s most rewarding snorkelling.

Day 7 — Taha’a | Motu Privé
Anchor off a private motu for a day of total escape. The crew can arrange a toes-in-the-sand lunch, paddleboarding across crystal-clear shallows, and sunset cocktails on deck. Taha’a offers the kind of privacy that makes yacht charter in French Polynesia feel genuinely remote.

Day 8 — Bora Bora | The Iconic Lagoon
Arrive in Bora Bora, where Mount Otemanu rises dramatically above one of the world’s most recognisable lagoons. Cruise between luminous blue waters and palm-fringed motu, with time for snorkelling, tender excursions and a relaxed afternoon on board. Bora Bora is the defining finale to a Society Islands charter.

Day 9 — Bora Bora | A Day at Your Own Pace
Spend the day enjoying Bora Bora exactly as you wish. Swim with rays, explore coral gardens, take a scenic island tour or retreat to a quiet anchorage for a long lunch and an unhurried afternoon in the water. As evening falls, enjoy a final dinner on deck beneath the South Pacific sky.

Day 10 — Bora Bora | Departure or Extension
Disembark in Bora Bora, or extend your charter with additional time in the lagoon, a return passage through the Leeward Islands, or an onward adventure into the Tuamotu Atolls. Bora Bora has its own airport, making onward arrangements straightforward.

Every itinerary is tailored around weather, sea conditions, guest preferences and the yacht’s cruising programme, ensuring that each day feels entirely your own.
